Game 2 was a hit clinic by John Carroll as the blue and gold tallied a season high 19 hits. He also scored two runs and recorded an RBI in the third inning which tied the game at 1-1.Īukerman notched his fifth win of the season and still remains without a loss in 2023. The Blue Streaks saw major offensive contributions from Joe Olsavsky as well, who tallied four hits in five at bats. JCU relied heavily on the long ball in Game 1, as they out gunned Muskingum with four homers en route to the 9-3 win. With the victories, JCU improved to 4-0 in OAC play and 15-6 overall as they sit in sole possession of first place in the conference. The Blue Streaks continued that offensive showcase, as they tallied seven home runs and 34 hits combined in both games as well. They also played Wooster at the field last Wednesday and defeated the Fighting Scots, 15-11, in just five innings. WOOSTER, Ohio - After being rained out on Saturday, the John Carroll baseball took full advantage of some sunshine and a turf field as they went back to Wooster's Art Murray Field, and picked up two Ohio Athletic Conference wins against Muskingum in impressive fashion, 9-3 and 15-6, respectfully. ![]()
